About:Dual Nationality

Hi,

I'm Australian citizen now, was Chinese natinality before. Plan to give up Australian citizen and go back China to stay. Do I get the Chinese natinality immediately after I give up the Australian citizen?

You have to apply for getting back Chinese nationality, at China Embassy in Australia. Beside the application form to get back your Chinese nationality and other documents such as passport, etc, you have to show the evidence that you one owned Chinese Nationality. Once you are approved, you can handle the registeration and get your Chinese ID card in 60 days.
