how badgood is the second class seat on a train from beijing to shanghai?

How bad or good is the second class seat on a train from Beijing to shanghai? Do we have restroom on these cars, anything to eat> do you recommend this ticket? Or, which do you recommend for a one day stay in shanghai?

The second class seats are not as soft as the first class seats, but still comfortable for sitting. Rest rooms for common passengers and the handicapped are both available. There are also dining cars shuttling in the corridor.
