Hello, I would like to know if I can get a China visa if my purpose is to look into business opportunity in china...like establishing a Representative Office. i have a good friend in china who really wants to open his own company, and i will work with him. he's on a working visa right now. What documents should I submit the embassy? would it be a good idea to tell the china embassy that you want to establish a small business in china? thank you in advance.

In this case, you can apply for a tourist visa to China. But it is not a good idea to tell visa officers about your business purpose. Or you will be asked to apply for a Business visa instead. Or, you can just wait until your friends open the company, then they can send you needed documents when you are qualified to apply for a Z visa to China.

You can apply for a L visa or F visa to come to China. Then extend the visa for several months. If you want to work here, maybe later you can change your visa to the z working visa.
Questions about the visa, tell me, I wil give you some suggestions.
