About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Dear Sir,
I am an Indian National living in China since last 3 years. I have a represantative office in China and I am the Cheif represantative of my company. This year I have applied for renewal of the company but it get delayed for some reason. By that time my resident visa was going to expire. I have approached the PSB for renewing my visa, they have advised me to go to Hong Kong or Macao to get temprory visa as there is no any provision to renew visa since I am a resident and my licence is not valid for more than 1 month. Then I went to Hong Kong and applied for Visa through a travel agent. But Hong kong Embassy given me only 3 days L Visa. It is a rare case, I think...I dont know what is the reason. Again I approached the local PSB to get my visa renewed. This time also they explained the L visa cannot renewed. I must go to Hong Kong or Macao.

Anyway, I have managed to submit the application and expecting the L visa again. Now my licence is getting ready and expecting it in two days. Now what is my questian is: How can I apply for my resident permit again? Should I go back to my country to apply Z Visa? If so, what documents should I provide?

Expecting your earliest advice,
Warm regards,
Mak

Yes, you need to apply for a Z visa in India. and then apply for the residence permit after you enter China. The dicuments are as follows:
1. A passport valid for 6 months at least with 2 blank visa pages at least;
2. one passport photo;
3. An application form for China;
4. A notice of visa authorization from China;
5. Alien Employment License issued by the Ministry of Labor & Social Security, Government of China, or Foreign Specialist's License issued by Foreign Specialist Bureau, Government of China.
6. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner;
7. Covering letter from applicant addressed to the visa office.
The previous visas to China are helpful if you can provide to visa officers.
