About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am latvian.do i have to make a visa to transit China (Shanghai Airport)?I would like to leave an airport to enter the city for one night as I have next day confirmed flight to London (I am traveling London - Sydney-London trough Shanghai)

You don't need a transit visa for the stopover in Shanghai, Latvia nationals are allowed to transit Shanghai for up to 48 hours without a visa (They are allowed to leave the Pudong Airport/Hongqiao Airport to enter the city)
