About:Xian Weather

Has anyone visited Xian during the CNY holiday? It will be early Feb. this year. I wonder how the weather will be like and if it is easy to go around to see the ususal tourist attractions. any info will be appreciated.

Hello Mimi, during the Spring Festival, the weather is usaully dry and cold, it barely rains or snows at that time. That is a good time to travel in Xian, but some of the restaurants would be cloesd since they went back home to celebrate the festival. For the usual tourist attractions, I think it will still be convenient to go. Welcome to Xian!

I went there earlier this ear right before CNY. The weather was very bad, snow and cold. The worst part is that you will find terrible services around CNY because most of services are cut down due to absence of their employees. I strongly recommend not to visit Xi'an or any place in China around CNY as tourist.
