At the south end of Zhouzhuang,there is a bus station , indeed a platform. It is Jiangze Bus Station. You can wait Jiangze-Suzhou bus which will stop at Tongli. It costs about 20-30 minutes from Zhouzhuang to Tongli. From Tongli, I think you should get back to Suzhou and then back to Shanghai. D trains from Suzhou to Shanghai are of great many and fast. As to the ticket, some would but discounted online, or buy in Shanghai tourism Dispatch Center which in fact offer tours including ticket and shuttle bus.
