No door to the lake. It is a open lake and you can start to tour at any point of the lake. Many hotels at the lake side. For example, sofitel Hangzhou West Lake at Xihu Dadao/Nanshan Road. For budget hotel, Crystal Orange Hotel is a good choice which is just beside a lakeside park which is one of the most famous spots along the West Lake.0
