About:Hong Kong Travel

1)we stay at mongkok near to the TST MTR station and we want to go to shenzhen
is it ok to use the MTR and exit at kowloon tong then ride the east rail train?
or walk to (or cab?) mongkok east station?
2)can i use octopus card on east rail train and MTR?
3)must use octopus card to ride MTR, buses? Can pay by cash coz stay for 2 days only
4)can return the octopus card at lo wu station?
5)what is sky terrace
