About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi, I have two children who are a Hong Kong(HK) SAR citizen and holding HKSAR passport, and currently are a Singapore PR and studying in Singapore. This December, my children will be flying directly from Singapore to Beijing as a tourist. Both of them do not have Home Return Permit(HRP) at hand. I understand HRP can only be applied in HK,wWould like to ask how do they apply HRP in Singapore? in addition, so do they need to apply other travel document in addition to their HKSAR passport instead for them to travel from Singapore directly to Beijing? and where to get the required travel document in Singapore? Thanks a lot.

They need to submit applications to China Travel Service (Holdings)Hong Kong. And all applications will be send to Guangdong provincial Public Security Department. The processing time is about 2 weeks. it can not be processed in Singapore.

Hi Mr Cecil,

Many thanks for the fast response.

Unfortunately, my both children are currently and physically studying in Singapore. We will be going back to HK in near future.

If there is a need for them to have a travel document to China, I wonder whether we can apply any travel document in Singapore instead?

Thanks once again.

Mr.Xavier, they only need a Home Return Permit to mainland China, no other travel documents needed. As what Mr.Cecil siad above, you need to apply for it in Hong Kong.
