About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

For someone flying from Guangzhou to Los Angeles, what is the maximum weight a passenger may allow for the CARRY-ON bag?

I know before you check through security, an airport worker weighs the carry-on.

I am assuming you're flying China Southern so contact them. But in the past I have never been told to weigh my carry on and I have flown this route many times.
