Hi guys, I've noticed your website here. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if I need to go visit a police station specifically for foreigners to register where I am living in Shenyang or is going to the local police station sufficient?

What if I move while under contract to a school? Is going to seethe local police station sufficient?

If someone could tell me quickly, I would really appreciate it thank you.

Just i case you still need the information you just go to your local police station closes to your house and register..take your rental contract and your passport..

If you move to a new residence you have to re register with your new local police station and with your new rental agreement. And so on every time you move ....

If your in a hotel they register you automatically... it's only when you go into anything other than a hotel ...This is what I have been advised as an expat of only 4 weeks myself ... Hope it helps :)
