About:Badaling Great Wall

Hi, My mom,age 84(she is wheelchair bound) & my family 7 members in total plan to visit Beijing/Great Wall/Forbidden City in March 2011,what kind of clothings is necessary?Since my mom is wheelchair bound,please let me have your kind advise what is best way to visit the Great Wall-Badaling & Ming Tombs?Thanking in advance.

It's almost the end of winter, but I think you'd better bring downcoat as well. It's colder on the walls than in the downtown city.

There is cable car in Badaling Great Wall, you can take it for both up and down. About getting there, I think train is more comfortable than the public bus919. Or maybe you can hire a car. It's more convenient. From Badaling to Ming Tombs, the only ways are by bus or taxi.

Hello - I would like to read some more advice on this question.

What about an elderly person with no wheelchair but not strong enough for stairs or steep climbs? If we just take the cable car to the top is the view of the Wall still OK?

I am taking my elderly mother to Beijing in October 2011 and would like togive her even a small experience of the Wall.
