About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Hi everyone,

I am currently in China on an L visa however will need to extend it. It expires on the 1st of October, the national holiday. I have a tour booked that will be taking me into remote areas that we will not be in one place for more than 1 day so cant extend it once the tour starts. Can anyone tell me, if I apply for my visa extension and it takes 3 days to process, does it become valid from the day I drop it off or the day I collect it? As I will be very close on times if it is from the day I take it to the PSB office.

Thanks

The visa becomes valid from the day you collect it. You can take it to the local PSB on the day your current visa will expire or any time before the day. And be informed that the local PSB will close during holidays for Chinese National Day.
