About:Top 8 China Train Travel Tips You Should Know

We (3 adults and 1 child) plan to visit China in 6-13 October 2010 with itinerary Shenzhen-Hangzhou-Shanghai-Beijing-Tianjin using train. Which pair city is most difficult to get train ticket? Is it sleeper class more available than seat class? Can we buy ticket for other city pair from first city station (Shenzhen)? Is it easier to get ticket for Shenzhen-Guangzhou-Hangzhou than Shenzhen-Hangzhou? Any other alternative route from Shenzhen to Hangzhou?
Thank you very much.

Train tickets are always under great demand especially between the hot cities like Shanghai to Beijing and etc. Most times it is easier to buy sleeper tickets than seat tickets. And there are two trains available from Shenzhen to Hangzhou. So, no need to make a transfer at Guangzhou. You could buy the tickets online or just buy the tickets at train stations in advance.
