just to be clarified.. i have a visa to enter shanghai as a tourist.. if i go to other areas in china like beijing and HK.. do i need to get new visas for these areas? or just HK ?

Your visa to Shanghai is eligible to visit other cities in mainland China except Tibet. If you are philippine passport holder, you do not need visa to HK for 14 days.
