About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

Hi Good day! Hope you could advise me if I would still need a visa If a have a flight from Philippines via cebu pacific (MANILA TO PEK) and via American Airlines (PEK TO ORD) and VICE VERSA.
1. MLA to PEK then PEK to ORD (Illinois USA) will have and interval of atleast 8 hours ( would i need to have a visa for me if I'm going to wait? and if I will transfer from one terminal to the other if the 2 airlines have different terminal locations?)I will not leave airport.
2. ORD to PEK the PEK to MLA will have an interval of atleast 28 hrs ( would i need to have a visa for me if I'm going to wait and if I will transfer from one terminal to the other if the 2 airlines have different terminal locations?)Im not planning to leave the terminal , and if so is there any lounge I could stay within the airport to wait on my flights? Please help! Really need confirmation on this.. this flight is very important to me.. Thanks alot in advance for those who will reply :)

You do not need a transit visa if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
In this case for your return flights, about 28 hours stopover, you need to apply for a transit visa.

Hi Ms Mia.
Thanks for the Response. I just went to the Chinese Embassy this morning to apply for a Transit visa for it, but they informed me that they only Issue Transit Visas to SEAMEN. I needed a tourist visa for this. I was totally puzzled coz I told them that I was only staying at the airport and going to wait for my next flight. I even shown them my e-tickets .But the consul still insist that even if im staying less than 24 hrs in the airport , I would still need a Tourist Visa.. So sad.. I have to produce everything and only had 2 weeks left to process..
