I've been working in Shanghai for almost 3 years with a Z-Visa & Chinese Temporary Residence Permit. My compony decided to terminate my contract by end of Oct 2010 as my Visa and Residence Permit will expire by end of Oct 2010. I found a new Company in Qingdao which is willing to hire me in Qingdao. I need to renew my Visa and Residence Permit before they expire by end of Oct 2010 (1.5 months from today). My questions are :
1. Is my case consider as "renewing" residence permit even with a new employer? Or I need to undergo the new application process from step one, all over again? Can I renew my Visa and Residence Permit with the same renewing steps I used to do every year? (Note : the focus now is a new employer and a new province (Shanghai & Qingdao).
2. If I can renew everything, is there any difference or additional procedure apart from the standard renewing procedure that I had undergo when my Visa and Residence Permit expires each year?
3. If I can renew, do you think 1.5 months is sufficient?
