Hello,
I came to China on 'F' visa(business visa), my visa will expire in 30 days. I am in a procedure of registering (setting up) my company here. I have got few approvals from the Government and now the up coming step is to get the residency permit. For this, I was told by the Public Security Bureau (PSB) office that first i need to leave the country, apply for a 'Z' visa from HongKong or my hometown chinese embassy and than come back again into China with a Z visa, only than i can apply for a residency permit. I need to know if there is any simpilar way because going to Hongkong or my hometown, applying for a Z visa from there and wait for about 5 to 6 days to get a Z visa and than come back again to china seems quite a difficult job. If anybody knows a better than please let me know.

One last question is, can i apply for a Z visa in PSB while staying in China? with that visa i will go to HK and than come back again in just few hours, is it possible? does anybody have some useful information on it? waiting for an advice.
