Im planning a trip to Beijing this October 2010 but I still have green passport which will expire on July 2011. Is my green passport still valid for Chinese visa application and entry to Beijing?

We're planning a trip on Oct 4-9 but I heard it's national holiday on the first week. Do you recommend re-scheduling our trip?

Yes, it is China National Holiday from Oct 1 to Oct 7. There must be crowded in almost every tour sites, so you'd better delay your trip to the days after Oct 7 if you can. Enjoy your trip in China.
