About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Hi I'm travelling to China April 2011 and would like to visit Tibet. I understand that I require a separate visa for Tibet. Should I apply for both Visa's at the same time within Ireland before departure or can I apply for the Tibetan visa when in China (I'm unsure of travel dates to Tibet). Many thanks

if you want to visit Tibet, you should first apply for a Tibet Travel Permit from the Tourism Administration of the Tibet Autonomous Region (Tel: 0086-891-6834313; Fax: 0086-891-6834632). It is not a separate visa. individual tourists are not allowed to visit Tibet, you need to join a tour in China. And a qualified travel agency can help you with it on your behalf. Be noted that you need to apply it in advance from Chinese embassy there in Ireland.
