About:West Lake (Xi Hu)

I,m going to hangzhou in this mid of September and planning to visit west lake and take a boat ride. Do I need to buy ticket for riding the boat? If not, how is the way? This is my first time visit hangzhou and I speak a little chinese. Would it be difficult for me? We are 4 persons included 2 children.

You need to buy tickets for boat ride, different boats have different prices. I remember there are English indicators.
