About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Hi - I am British passport holder flying to Korea 5 Sept on business until 10 Sept. After this I want to visit China as tourist for one week then back to Korea for my flight home to London. Reading the answers above it seems I may not be permitted to apply for China visa (but not sure why?) - can it work if I use travel agency in Korea to buy my ticket and hotel plus Visa?? Appreciate anyones help with this
Regards
Greg

yes, you can't apply for a China tourist visa because you don't have the Korea Alien Registration Card valid for at least 6 months. Now, the Alien Registration Card is required by China embassy in Seoul for applicants who are not Korean, I can't understand why such a rule exists, many foreigners can't get a visa to China for tourism
