About:China Customs Declaration

Hi, I am visiting the country to visit my customer and I am thinking of buying Bird nest (chinese tonic) as gifts for the customer. Must I declare it? If I declare, what will the customs do? Impose taxes? How much? Or what? Thank you!

Yes, you need to declare it. Tax rate is 10%.
