You hold British passport, for China visa application in Afghanistan, you maybe required to provide Afghanistan visa or residence permit or work permit, for business visa application, you need an invitation letter from a Chinese company or an organization, and a visa notice sheet from an authorized Chinese government office, such as Commece of Econonmy and Commerce.
