About:Guangzhou Bus and Metro

Hi
I wish to go Hongkong from Guangzhou, please advise the best way to go.
I am leaving Guangzhou on 24.10.10.

take a train from east railway station.
or take a train to shenzhen then change to metro to hongkong at louwu station.
