About:Entry Regulations of China

Hi! Our L visa says enter before Sept 9 and we will be arriving in Shanghai at 1145 PM on September 8, leaving us a 15 minute window granted that our flight will not meet any delays and will arrive on time. Should there be a delay, and arrive exactly on September 9, will we still be allowed entry to China?

You mean Sep 9 is the expired date of your visa? so, if the flight delay, you may refuse to enter. Many big airports has visa office, maybe you can nake expansion there. To be safe, change a earlier flight.
