About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

I wish to travel on the D class train from Beijing to Shanghai on the night of Friday the 8th of October. Can you please tell me how far in advance I can buy these tickets? Can I buy them from any train ticket office or must I go to the train station?

The tickets are usually started being sold around 10 days before the departure date. If you are in Beijing, you could go to buy the tickets at either ticket offices or train stations.
