About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

If I want to go Shanghai, China on May 2010, when should I go to apply the Single Entry VISA on embassy?How long is the validity of the VISA?

I guess that you want to go to Shanghai on May 2011, not 2010. You need to apply for single-entry visa in late March or early April, the single-entry visa is generally valid for 3 months, and permits 30 days stay duration.
