About:Lantau Island

We have a long layover in HK on Nov 30th We have been in HK before and will have about six hours to sight see so we would like to visit some of the areas on Lantau Is. We have considered Tai O village and the giant Buddha. Will you please make some suggestions to us that would fit within our time frame. Thank you Mrs Smyth

The route should be like this: Take Airport bus S1 from HKIA to Tung Chung, 15 minutes. Then take cable car to Ngong Ping to see the Griant Buddha, 25 minutes. Take Lantau Bus 21 to Tai O. It takes only 20 minutes but the bus is available every a hour. The take Lantau Bus 11 from Tai O back to Tung Chung, 50 minutes. Take bus S1 to the airport. You can control your time on each place according to this time frame.
