About:Chinese Consulates in Thailand

Hello, thanks for making this site it is very informative. I was wanting to know if a business visa/work permit can be processed for China in your Chiang Mai office or would I have to go to Bangkok? I am British and have all the paperwork necessary, also I do not need a rushed service it is OK to wait a few weeks.
Thanks
Mark

It is possible for you to apply for China business visa or work visa at the Consulate in Chiang Mai, sometimes, the China embassy in Bangkok doesn't accept visa application from applicants who are not resident in Thailand, but the China consulate consulate in Chiang Mai accepts the visa application from applicants who are not Thai and don't live or work in Thailand. Good Luck!
