Non-Thai applicants should provide valid Thai residence permit or work permit which entitle them to live in Thailand for a long time, the China embassy in Bangkok sometimes refuses to accept visa application from temporary visitors in Thailand. Anyhow, now you have to try to submit the visa application in Thailand or Vietnam if you want to visit China. Maybe you are lucky to get a China visa in Thailand.
