Hi i have a related question my passport will be expired 2012 i have a green one will it be ok to renew it this coming jaunary or april 2011 before i go to US i just want it change.

yes, it is Ok for you to renew it in the coming January or April 2011, now, Philippines can issue Machine Readable Passport, the Green Passport is not accepted by some countries although it is still valid and recognized by Philippines government. you'd better change it into the Machine Readable Passport.
