About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

We are INDIAN passport holdeers and living in Kobe, Japan for more than 25years. We have permanent residence and re-entry permits. Will be visiting China sometime in Jan- Feb 2011. Cause we are leaving for USA , India and Australia in Sep 2010 how early can we apply for Visa in Japan and where? What are the other documents required?

The earliest time for you to apply for China visa is October, a single-entry China visa is valid for 3 months, if you apply for it too early, it expires before you use it. Kobe, Hyogo is under the consular districts of Consulate General of China in Osaka. You need to go to Osaka to apply for China visa.

Besides your India passport, permanent residence and re-entry permit of Japan, you also need to provide the round-trip flight tickets and hotel reservation in China.
