Mr.Shadoan, yes, you are able to buy a unit in your name or joint names in China, now, do you get married with your Chinese girlfriend, if you have the marriage license, it is easy for you to get a L visa for family visit, permitting you to stay in China for 180 days at most, otherwise, you can apply for a L visa to China and buy a house, but the L visa generally permits 30 days stay duration. After you get the Property ownership certificate in your name or joint names, you can easily get the extension of L visa for a long time. If you don't have the Property ownership certificate or marriage license with Chinese citizen, generally, the L visa can be only extended twice, 30 days extension each time.
