About:Baggage Allowance for International Flights

Am i allowed to pack dried herbs and spices from a flight from Beijing to Pittsburgh. Are there any limitations on food on this flight? Thanks!

You want to put them in check-in lugguage, I mean in your hand to the airplane? It seems 2kg on food. If it is not too heavy or look so big, that will be fine. Herbs and spices with packing showing its name, factory etc, that will be fine. Are they allowed to enter American custom?
