I want to purchase a train ticket Shanghai to Hangzhou on 08 Sept (train number D5681) in advance.  Is the ticket similar to an airline e-ticket which you can just email to me once I have paid for it?Thanks

There aren’t any e-tickets for trains in China. After the tickets are issued, they will deliver them to the appointed place under your agreement such as the hotel you will stay. And you can pick up the train tickets there then board on the train.
