Mrs.May, you can have a try to apply for double-entry L visa for family visit and asks for 4 months stay permit, invitation letter from your husband with a copy of his valid chinese residence visa and passport information pages are helpful for your visa application, however, the final decision is up to the judgement of visa officer.

The single-entry visa issued on September 10 will expire on December 10, you can't apply for China visa for your son so eary if he will go to China on December 20. Your son had better apply for China visa in November.

You don't need to send your sister an authorization, you don't need to submit your own bank statement if your husband will sponsor you, if you want to provide the payslip of your husband, it should be stamped by his company.
