Question

My current contract and associated work permit ends in Sept 2010, my wife is Chinese and is working here. I want to stay in China with her and our two kids, what Visa do I need to do that and allows the kids to go to International schools? The kids and myself are Britisn Citizens.I dont want to leave the country

Mr.Adrian, you and your kids can apply for a new Family Visit Visa at the local Public Security Bureau, the new Family Visit Visa is issued to foreigners with immediate family living in China, this visa is in fact used as residence visa valid for 1 0r 2 years, you can stay in China during its validity, exit and enter China without applying for China visa. Please take the marriage license and birth certificate, your wife's household registration book (户口本) and other documents same as visa application in your home town.
