Hi there, I was wondering about the longest stay each visa permits. Is it possible to obtain a tourist visa that allows me to stay for 6 months? Thanks!

Maybe you can apply for a 6 month tourist visa, If you can not, you can apply for a one month tourist visa, then extend it for 2 months.
