About:China Visa Application in USA

I was born in China from French parents (diplomats) and left a couple of years later. I never held Chinese citizenship; I am now a US citizen. Do I need to have anything special when applying for a tourist visa for a single visit?

You don't need to provide the special requirements for China Tourist Visa application because your former nationality is not Chinese and you don't have the Chinese descent.
