About:China Visa Fees

Hi I am overstayed in china for 3 years now.I plan to surrender and pay the penalty tomorrow.I am presently in Dongguan now.But I plan to surrender in Guangzhou.Is there any difference surrendering in Guangzhou or the local police here in Dongguan? Will they put me to jail even if I pay for the penalty? What are the documents I need to show the police?Pls...answer ASAP!!!

Mr.isabelle, don't don't worry, generally speaking, you won't be put into jail if you pay for teh penalty, but you will be asked to exit China within 10 days because you have overstayed in China for 3 years.

In my opinion, there is no difference for surrendering in Guangzhou or the local police in Dongguan.

I know even you pay penalty they still detained you so most of my friend don't pay penalty because its same you also detained not only 15 days its more than a month
