Can you tell me the current cost for a D train sleeper car from Shanghai to Beijing for 1 adult and 1 child (age 12 and 4'9)?if I leave on Friday, 13th overnight and return 18th overnight can I buy both going to and return tickets on the same day?Can you also tell me what streets cross with the ticket stations in Shanghai and if there is English speaking person to help?I was quoted 268.00 us for a one way ticket and searching this forum this seems way overpriced.

The cost for one soft sleeper on the D trains from Shanghai to Beijing is around CNY730, which is the ticket price only. And there will be some delivery charges added if buy through some agencies. If your child is above 1.1meters, he/she also needs to take a separate berth. You can buy the tickets at the railway station, which is located in Zhabei District of Shanghai, and subway line 1, 2, 3 all pass there.
