About:Chinese Embassy in Indonesia

My wife and I live in Bali and are New Zealand passport holders. We also hold Indonesian KITAS (retirement visa). We wish to travel to Shanghai for 2 weeks in August 2010. Is it possible now to obtain visas for PRC by posting or by courier to Jakarta or Surabaya in preference to lodging applications in person? Last year we obtained visas by courier post but I understand there has been a change. Regards Pete

You need to apply China visas at CVASC (China Visa Application Service Center)either in Jakarta or Surabaya in person, but better choose according to where you reside the consular district. The Center do not accept postal applications.
