About:Dual Nationality

Hi everyone. I have recently become a British Citzen but still hold my Chinese Passport. If I decide to go back to China to visit my parents, can I still use my Chinese passport or should I legally get a Visa and use my British Passport?

Thanks

Many thanks for your reply Mr Wong. My Chinese passport still has my permanent leave to remain visa for the UK in it so I would have a Visa to leave China and return to the UK. I do wonder though, that when I enter back into the UK if the Border Authority would know if I was holding a UK passport when then checked my details at immigration.

Thanks

You know that China do not admit dual nationality. So, that is to say, you may enter China with your Chinese passport, but that will be a problem while you are leaving. You should have British visa, or the custom will not let your pass. If you do not have the visa, that should be illegal. Anyway, you should have a visa.
