About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

I am an American, and I will be in Manila during September (I do not have a residence permit for the Philippines). I would like to get a new China L visa in Manila since my current L visa expires in September. Is this possible? I heard there are new China visa laws that were enacted on July 1, 2010. If it is possible, what documents will I need?

Why not apply for China L visa in USA? If you stay in USA now, please apply for China L visa in USA. I can't sure that you can get a China L visa in Manila because you don't have the residence permit.

I can't apply in the U.S.A. because I am in China right now, and my L visa expires in one month. I will be in the Philippines in September, that is why I am asking...

Mr.Sutton, generally speaking, it is not difficult for USA nationals to get a China L visa in Manila, please have a try! Now, the China Embassy in Seoul has applied the new rule that applicants other than Korean should hold an Alien Registration Card valid for at least 6 months, However, now I haven't heard that the China embassy in Manila applies this new rule.
