About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

iam a canadian citzen have criminal conviction 13 years ago and got candian pardon everything is clered can i stay hongkong only one night next day is my connection flight

You can stay at the Hong Kong airport or Hong Kong for one night, Canadian passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days. However, if you are in the list of international police, the criminal record can be checked by the Hong Kong immigration officer, then you won't be allowed to enter Hong Kong.
