About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

im flying to hong kong from the uk. visiting there for a few days then heading to mainland china (xian and beijing). do i only need to get a single entry visa or is it a double entry visa i require?

You need not visa to Hong Kong, and if you are not going to re-enter mainland China after your visit to Xian and Beijing, a single entry visa is enough.
