No visa is required for ordinary passport holders from Singapore to visit China for up to 15 days for sightseeing, doing business, visiting relatives and friends or transit. But other two of you need visas to shenzhen. Visa fee is different according to nationalities and visa types.

Hi Mr Joe,

I heard that i will be able to purchase a shenzhen visa at the border. Will it be safe to do so and how much is the price for that as we will be in shenzhen for only 2 days.

Joe is right, if you have sigapore passport, you do not need a visa to Shenzhen. The other two your friends are required visa. But I am not sure that they can get the visa-on-arrival at Shenzhen border. The fee is about HK$150, that may differ from nationalities.
