my flight comes into shanghai, then i transfer to beijingfinally to xiamen with air

Question

My flight comes into Shanghai, then I transfer to Beijing and finally to Xiamen with Air China. I know I will have to collect my luggage in Shanghai and go through customs, but will I have to do the same in Beijing, or will it be automatically transferred on to the next flight? I only have 1.5 hours for the transfer so am worried about how long it will take.Thank you!

If your flights are from the same airline company and you'll leave and arrive in the same terminal, then you don't need to collect the luggage. Otherwise, you'll need to collect the luggage  and have it gone through the customs.
